FINDING TรRร๐ EP1
FINDING TรRร ๐
Episode 1
The soft hum of the air conditioner filled the cozy living room as George leaned back on the couch, swirling the ice cubes in his glass of whiskey. Adeife sat across from him, arms crossed, his brows drawn together in deep thought. The faint sound of traffic outside barely disturbed the comfortable silence between them, but George wasn’t one for quiet when something interesting was at play.
“You’ve been acting weird all day, man,” George said, raising a brow. “Spill it.”
Adeife exhaled, rubbing his palms together. He hesitated, then finally muttered, “It’s Tรฒrรฒ.”
George sat up, his interest piqued. “Tรฒrรฒ? The same Tรฒrรฒ from the office? Smart, fine, always-on-point Tรฒrรฒ?”
Adeife nodded, his lips pressing into a tight line. “Yeah, her.”
George chuckled. “You’re crushing, aren’t you?”
Adeife sighed, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. “It’s more than that, George. I feel something for her, but…” He shook his head. “I just can’t bring myself to talk to her.”
George let out a dramatic sigh, shaking his head. “Bro, this is not high school. You’re a grown man. Just walk up to her and say, ‘Hey, Tรฒrรฒ, you look stunning today. Wanna grab lunch?’” He gestured with his hands as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
Adeife let out a humorless chuckle. “If only it were that easy.”
George took a sip of his whiskey, then gave Adeife a knowing look. “Okay, what happened? What triggered this?”
Adeife leaned back, staring at the ceiling as if replaying the moment in his mind.
Earlier that morning…
The office lounge had smelled of freshly brewed coffee, and the soft chatter of employees filled the air. Adeife had stepped in, hoping to grab a cup before heading to his desk. Then, there she was—Tรฒrรฒ.
She stood near the coffee machine, her delicate fingers stirring her drink absentmindedly, her long, braided hair falling gracefully over her shoulder. She was dressed in a deep green blouse that complimented her rich brown skin, her eyes scanning something on her phone.
Adeife’s feet froze. His brain screamed at him to move, to walk up to her, to say something—anything.
But all he did was stand there.
Just… staring.
His heartbeat was erratic, his palms damp. And when she finally looked up and their eyes met, he panicked.
Instead of greeting her like a normal human being, he turned around—abruptly—and pretended to be checking his watch.
“She must think I’m a creep,” Adeife groaned, burying his face in his palms.
George erupted into laughter. “Bro! You walked in, saw her, froze, then turned around like you were in an action movie?!”
Adeife groaned again. “I know! It was bad.”
“Bad?” George grinned, shaking his head. “It was tragic. I wish I had seen it!”
“Not funny.”
“Oh, it is.” George took another sip of his drink. “But listen, you have to talk to her at some point. If you keep freezing up, some other guy is gonna swoop in and take her before you even say ‘hello.’”
Adeife sighed. That was exactly what he was afraid of.
“You like her, right?” George pressed.
Adeife nodded.
“Then do something about it.”
A moment of silence passed before George smirked. “Actually, I have an idea.”
Adeife gave him a suspicious look. “What kind of idea?”
George’s smirk widened. “Don’t worry, just trust me.”
Sometimes, love begins as unspoken feelings— silent glances, stolen moments, emotions left unsaid.
But then, slowly, it turns into late-night conversations, laughter shared in quiet corners, and the warmth of understanding.
Until one day, without even realizing it, we’re no longer just two people crossing paths— we’re hands in hands, hearts in sync, writing a story neither of us saw coming. ๐
